Located in
Salt Lake City, Utah,
Jubilate
(Latin, yü-bə-ˈlä-tā)
is an
Extraordinary
Choral Ensemble
composed of a diverse group of musicians
who share their
love of
choral music
with their
audiences.
~~~~~~~~~~
Singing everything from religious works to jazz, Jubilate has enjoyed a 26-year run of exciting, fun-filled,
wide-ranging performances while, at the same time, working with community members and
local schools to bring choral music to all those who enjoy it so much.
~~~~~~~~~~
Jubilate's director is Harry Heightman. Harry is a transplanted New Yorker who has spent over 40 years making music in Utah. He discovered his passion for conducting while still in high school where he got his first "taste" of directing both instrumental and choral music. He earned his degree in Music Education from SUNY College at Fredonia, New York, where he studied instrumental music, and fell in love with choral music. During the past 50+ years he has directed over two dozen public school, church and community ensembles including 10 years as director of the West Valley Chorale and 26 years as the founding director of Jubilate.
Jubilate is supported, in part, by a generous grant from the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts & Parks Program
